T091 – Interactive Gym
The T091 Interactive Gym at the University of Queensland (UQ) is a large, purpose-built active learning environment designed for up to 30 participants. Combining professional Audio Visual and Unified Communications technologies, the space delivers a flexible, high-capability AV experience suited to dynamic, engagement-focused instruction. The room centres on a Philips 98-inch primary display with a dedicated preview monitor for presenter confidence. A Crestron HD-MD-8X8-4K-E matrix switcher routes content from PC and BYOD laptop inputs, providing seamless source flexibility. Audio is managed through a Biamp Tesira DSP, processing three active microphone channels — Lectern, Lapel, and Handheld — supporting both wired and wireless configurations. An Echo360 lecture capture appliance enables on-demand content recording, while Magewell Pro Convert NDI encoders and decoders provide the room’s Audio Video over IP (AVoIP) distribution backbone. Room control is delivered via a Crestron TSW-1060 touch panel running Innomate’s Innomesh interface, enabling intuitive AV Room Control with minimal operator overhead. The Magewell NDI-based AVoIP infrastructure ensures low-latency, flexible signal distribution across the space. Deployed across 223 rooms at the University of Queensland, the T091 is fully integrated into Innomate’s Innomesh AV SaaS Platform, enabling proactive AV Remote Monitoring and Management at scale. Through Innomate’s AVaaS and UCaaS models, UQ benefits from a managed, resilient AV environment built to meet the demands of modern higher education.
