T092 – Medium Laboratory
The T092 Medium Laboratory at the Australian National University (ANU) is a compact, purpose-built teaching space designed for practical, laboratory-based instruction. Combining professional Audio Visual and Unified Communications technologies, the room delivers a focused, reliable AV experience tailored to hands-on education within the sciences and computing disciplines. The space centres on a Panasonic PT-RZ570 laser projector paired with a Screen Technics motorised screen, providing a large, bright primary image for demonstration and instruction. Content is delivered via Crestron DM-NVX encoders and decoders, supporting both a direct laptop HDMI input and a Crestron AM-200 AirMedia wireless presentation gateway for seamless BYOD connectivity. Audio is managed through a QSC Q-Sys Core 110f DSP, driving four SoundTube IP ceiling speakers over the network, with an integrated IR Hearing transmitter fed by an Audinate Dante AVIO output for accessibility. Room control is delivered via a Crestron TSW-760 touch panel running Innomate’s Innomesh interface, providing intuitive AV Room Control with minimal operator overhead. The Crestron NVX Audio Video over IP (AVoIP) infrastructure ensures low-latency signal distribution, while an automated shutdown schedule and Axis network camera support proactive energy management and occupancy awareness. Deployed across three rooms at ANU, the T092 is fully integrated into Innomate’s Innomesh AV SaaS Platform, enabling proactive AV Remote Monitoring and Management at scale. Through Innomate’s AVaaS and UCaaS models, ANU benefits from a managed, resilient AV environment built to meet the demands of modern higher education.
