T094 – Large Dual Teaching Space
The T094 Large Dual Teaching Space at the University of Queensland (UQ) is a high-capacity, dual-zone lecture facility supporting cohorts of 100 or more. Purpose-built for simultaneous delivery across two teaching zones, the space combines enterprise-grade Audio Visual / AV and Unified Communications technologies to deliver a seamless, scalable learning experience. The room’s display infrastructure comprises four NEC M751 large-format LCD displays and four Epson EB-L735U laser projectors, each paired with a Screen Technics Electricinima motorised projection screen. Content is routed via a Crestron HdMd8x84kzE 8×8 HDMI matrix switcher from three active sources — a Zoom PC, a BYOD laptop input, and an Elmo document camera — providing full UCaaS and conferencing flexibility. Audio is processed through a Biamp Tesira DAN CI DSP across five microphone channels: Lectern, Lapel, Handheld, Auxiliary, and a Shure MXA910 ceiling array microphone, with wireless microphone support via a Shure SBC220 docking station. An Axis IP camera and Echo 360 lecture capture appliance support both video conferencing and on-demand content recording. AV Room Control is delivered via a Crestron TSW-1060 touch panel running Innomate’s Innomesh interface, providing intuitive control with automated nightly shutdown for energy efficiency. Dynalite lighting integration manages three programmable zones — Front, Middle, and Rear — to adapt the room for varied presentation formats. Dual APC AP7920B PDUs provide centralised power management, and a BrightSign XT243 digital signage player drives campus communications at the room entrance. Deployed across 44 installations at the University of Queensland, the T094 is fully integrated into Innomate’s Innomesh AV SaaS Platform, enabling proactive AV Remote Monitoring and Management at scale. Innomate’s AVaaS and UCaaS models give UQ a managed, resilient AV environment built to meet the demands of modern higher education.
